Fall into Forever is in Print!

Pic of print copy Fall into ForeverYes, it’s true! Fall into Forever is now available in print for only $9.95 on Amazon!

For those of you not familiar with the process of getting an indie book into print, there are set costs that prevent an author from pricing the book as low as she may want. Based on the size and number of pages, the lowest I could make it is about what it’s listed for ($11.99). But then Amazon discounted the book themselves, making the price much lower than I could. Soooo cool!

For those of you who’ve asked about how to purchase a signed copy, I need to figure out an easy way to do this, so stay tuned!

Fall into Forever Coming in Paperback Soon

FallIntoForever_Beth-Hyland_cover-flatYes, it’s true! The proof copy of Fall into Forever has been sent for my approval. When it arrives in a few days, if it looks good, then I’ll press the button to make it go live. Trish Pickyme, my talented cover artist, did most of the work, but I did the typography on the back, so we’ll see how I like it when I’m holding this in my hands. I’ll be ordering some copies to sign and give a few away on Facebook and Twitter, so stay tuned for details.

Two Weeks and a Giant Thank You

In the 2 weeks since Fall into Forever came out, all this has happened. I had to take screen shots otherwise I might’ve thought I was dreaming. To all of you who took at chance on this book, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I cannot adequately describe in words how it feels to have so many of you fall in love with Jon and Ivy’s story. Truly. :’-)

Cover Reveal for Fall into Forever

FallIntoForever_Beth-HylandIt’s cover reveal day for FALL INTO FOREVER! I’m so excited to finally be able to share. Isn’t it awesome???? The talented Pickyme did the cover and photographer extraordinaire Jenn LeBlanc shot the photo.

I only had about 12,000 words written in Jon and Ivy’s story, when the chance to attend the cover shoot came up. At that time, I didn’t know a lot about the characters yet, or what the theme of the story was. I just knew Jon and Ivy’s secrets and that they were both desperate to keep them hidden. Maybe it was crazy, but I told my friends organizing the shoot, “Hell yes, count me in.”

Then I wrote the rest of their story. And as it turned out, one of the themes is control—Ivy has always felt powerless, but with Jon, she learns to take control of her life. So that’s why this image with her in the power position is perfect.

FALL INTO FOREVER comes out March 10 (one week away!), but until then, be sure to add it on Goodreads and sign up for my newsletter to get an email when the book goes live.

I’m standing in the bathroom of the biggest party off campus, but I don’t have to pee. I grip the edge of the counter and try not to hyperventilate. I gasp for air, but all I can manage are a few shallow breaths. It’s like my brain knows I want to scream, but it won’t let me take a deep enough breath to make a fool of myself.

Don’t cry. Don’t freak out. It’ll only make things worse.

I’ll be adding more scenes over the next few weeks there. Let me know in comments if you’d rather have me post them here on the blog. It’s just such a nice reading experience over there. 🙂

My Quest for Reviews is Making Me Broke

As I search online for reviewers who might enjoy my book FALL INTO FOREVER, I’m visiting a ton of book review blogs. If I’m not familiar with them (and even if I am), I read their lists of favorite books to see if some of my favorites are in there, too. I figure that if we like reading the same books, they might enjoy reading mine. (I write the kind of book that I like to read.)

So you can guess what’s happening. I’m seeing tons of books I haven’t heard of before, and going, “Holy crap, that looks good.” And then I buy them.

FALL INTO FOREVER cover reveal

Exciting news! FALL INTO FOREVER has a release date: March 10. Xpresso Book Tours is doing a cover reveal on March 3. If you have a blog, you can sign up here.

I’m super excited for you all to see it. I was lucky enough to be on the set of the cover shoot with the amazing Jenn LeBlanc, which was loads of fun.

I had maybe 10,000 words written at the time, so I didn’t know Jon and Ivy’s story as well as I do now. The image I picked ended up mirroring one of the main themes of the book, which I hadn’t zeroed in on yet. I got to pick from about 25 photos shot that day and the one I chose just felt right, although I didn’t know why at the time. It’s so cool how your subconscious mind works.

Then talented cover artist Trish Pickyme Artist took the image and turned it into a beautiful cover.

I can’t wait for you all to see it!
